For a long time I used Google Analytics to provide webstats for me and for my clients - and it worked. Great stats, pretty graphs, nice figures - everything I needed. The problem I had was that I couldn’t get real time stats - I had to wait until the next day, by which time in some cases it was too late to react to surges in traffic.

Tip #23 - The longer the better

July 16th, 2008 · No Comments · Content, Google, Key Phrases

It’s better to use the longer versions of your keyphrase than the shorter.

June 25th, 2008 · No Comments · Blogging, Bonus Tips, Content, Freebies, Google, Links, Titles & Tags

USA Today recently interviewed Google’s Matt Cutts and he shared his top tips for getting listed in Google. No surprises, to be honest, but I thought I’d share :)

  1. Spotlight your search term on the page.
  2. Fill in your tags.
  3. Get other sites to link back to you.
  4. Create a blog and post often.
  5. Register for free Google tools.
  6. Don’t overdo it!
